Cartagena de Indias, the jewel on Colombia’s Caribbean Coast, is a destination known for its romantic sunsets, picturesque cobbled streets and colourful chaos. From the packed-out salsa clubs, to the street vendors selling exotic fruits and freshly fried fish, everything is done with a certain flair distinct to Cartagena.
Surrounded by 13km of colonial stone walls, the city’s old town is a Unesco World Heritage site. While just outside of the towering bricks, Getsemani houses the best bars and dance clubs in town. Further afield, crystal clear waters and white sands are to be found at the nearby beaches.
