After a year of wedding planning came to a very successful end on our Big Day, we decided to head on a one night mini moon to chill out before our final days at work and our round-the-world trip.
We picked the Chapel Townhouse in Brighton and it was total bliss. That’s if your idea of bliss is staying in a Gothic converted chapel with a roll top bath in the bedroom, sky-high ceilings, a Lego chandelier, incredible art on the walls and little surprises hidden and waiting for you to uncover them. i.e. = our idea of bliss!
It was slap bang in the centre of town but hidden away on a quiet street so it wasn’t noisy. We spent the afternoon walking around Brighton in the sunshine but we were definitely in need of a lazy break. The hosts had just got Netflix and Amazon Prime added to the TV, so we have to admit we spent an awful lot of our time during our stay watching The People V. O.J. Simpson, drinking beer from Brighton’s Bison Brewery and eating treats from nearby Infinity Foods. A pretty great start to married life!
It is, without doubt, the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed in. If you’re looking for an easy getaway from London – you need to try this place. Top tip: we booked on a Monday night which meant it was cheaper and the host James even let us check in early as the previous guests had left. Find the Chapel Townhouse on Airbnb here.
